LG launches new series of notebooks WIDEBOOK, intended for viewing widescreen

South Korean company LG Electronics announced the launch of a new series of notebooks under the title WIDEBOOK, where each model will be equipped with a widescreen (16:9) HD monitor with LED backlight and Intel Core 2 Duo.

This series includes five new models, including the R580:

R560:

R480:

R460:

And R380:

All of these models, according to the manufacturer, should strengthen the company's position in the global market gaming laptops. LG believes that at present is the growing demand for notebooks in comparison with the production of conventional PCs, which in fact led to the emergence of this series, which will be available in various designs. For example, models R580 and R560 will be equipped with 15.6-inch displays, R480 and R460 - 14-inch screen, and a small R380 - 13,3-inch panels. R580 and R480 are positioned as a premium model with a stylish and sporty design, while R560 and R460 will be promoted as a reliable and everyday workhorse. R380 will be offered to consumers as the best model performance at an affordable price.

The basis of the same on all models is the idea of mobile entertainment, where the center is a widescreen (16:9) HD (1600x900 or 1368x768) display, optimized for widescreen viewing. In addition, according to the company, taking advantage of innovations in LED backlighting LCD panels, it significantly reduces the power consumption of displays (within 15-20%), which should affect the durability of batteries laptops.

In addition to the above, each new technology includes support for SRS TruSurround HD sound, equipped with Intel Core 2 Duo, 2-or 4-mya GB RAM, 1.3 megapixel web camera, 3G modems support GSM, GPRS, EDGE, UMTS or HSDPA networks, as well as graphics-based system of NVIDIA GeForce GPUs with 1 GB of video memory.

Five new models WIDEBOOK series will begin its sale to Turkey, Dubai, Saudi Arabia, and then in other countries in Asia, Europe, North America and Latin America.
