GSM version of the smartphone Motorola DROID, video

Thursday, October 29, 2009

The network has started a video demonstrating Motorola DROID, but not CDMA model for the U.S. operator Verizon Wireless, a network version for GSM. In view of the device does not differ from the presented yesterday to the original, this is the same QWERTY slider, but it has a slot for a SIM card, which indicates support for GSM networks and, possibly, 3G. This means that soon smartphone Motorola DROID may receive from other operators in the United States and in Europe. But so far nothing is known about when this will happen.

With regard to the characteristics of the GSM version of Motorola DROID, and it is not clear. It is logical to assume that the basic functionality remains the same, that is, the apparatus will be 3.7-inch touchscreen display, 5 megapixel camera with dual LED flash, autofocus and image stabilization, an accelerometer, Wi-Fi adapter and Bluetooth, GPS receiver, and so on. And, of course, the operating system Android 2.0.
