Owners of the new iMac complain of problems with playback of Flash

Friday, October 30, 2009

According to reports on the forum support Apple, some owners of new iMac computers are experiencing problems with playing them in the video format Flash. The first of this kind of problem drew the attention of the user with the nickname Subcide, attempting to reproduce the YouTube video on its 27-inch iMac with the latest version of Flash player. However, the image in a video rather lug, and the sound is distorted. This CPU load every few seconds, galloped up to 105 per cent.

It is alleged that some users are able to debug the playback of Flash movies using the computer restarts or dipping it into hibernation with subsequent activation. However, these methods solve the problem only for some time. Proved unsuccessful attempts to solve it by reinstalling the operating system, Snow Leopard, or "roll back" to its earlier state.

The problem, judging by the posts HomerT, solved warranty replacement of a defective iMac to a new computer. With regard to the causes of noise when playing Flash videos, they remain unclear, although some experts link them with the overheating of system components.
