Renegade R2 SSD from pureSilicon - reliability is the first

Company pureSilicon announced the expansion of its line of SSD drives new family Renegade R2. In the new series of solutions included in the form factor 1.8 and 2.5 inches with a capacity of 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, 128 and 256 GB. All of them are built on 34 nm NAND memory chips with a single-level structure of the cell (SLC) and equipped with interfaces to connect SATA 3.0 Gbps or PATA. The rate of sequential read and write data from these drives is 255 Mb / s and 180 Mb / s, respectively.



In addition, SSD-drives in the series Renegade R2 have the unibody from a solid body anodized aluminum and consist of high quality components. This allows them to be resistant to high temperatures, shock, vibration and high humidity. In addition, the optional inclusion of available data protection technologies SiPher, providing 256-bit AES hardware encryption of stored information.

Deliveries 2.5-inch model Renegade R2 with a capacity of 4, 8, 32, 64 and 128 GB already started. At the same time, the 256 GB model with interface SATA, 1,8-inch hard drives with interface PATA, as well as all the models with the function of encryption of data should appear on sale in the first quarter of 2010.
