Sony unveils 56-inch supermonitor with 4K resolution

Sony Corporation is not in vain is considered one of the leaders in the development of innovative technologies. Here and in the exhibition held in Japan's CEATEC 2009, the company managed to surprise the visitors by submitting one of the most advanced to date monitors. Monitor TRIMASTER SRM-L560 has a huge diagonal of 56 inches, and its solution meets the latest standard, Quad HD (4K) and is equal to 3840 x 2160 pixels, which is four times higher than in FullHD display (1920 x 1080).

Despite this impressive performance, the viewing angle on TRIMASTER SRM-L560 is the same on all sides and it is equal to the standard 176 degrees. In addition, the monitor is equipped with LED background illumination, improves image quality and improves the accuracy of color reproduction. This would also contribute to the sensor RGB backlight and temperature sensor, can detect and compensate for uneven display brightness, arising because of the physical aging of the device.

I'm impressed with the specifications of the TV. LED backlighting, 2160p QFHD resolution... NICE !!!

But WHY IS THE DESIGN SO GODDAMN FUGLY !!! It's like a cardboard box, painted in black. Which means this tv can be replicated by a 3-year old.

I mean, COME ON !!! Toshiba did a better job in designing their similar TV. Why is Sony designed THIS PIECE OF CRAP !!!

I've always been a Sony loyalist and I always will be. But seeing this design, made me wanna kill myself. COME ON SONY !!! BACK TO THE DRAWING BOARD AND REDESIGN THE TV INTO SOMETHING ELEGANT YET FUTURISTIC. WITH BLACK AND SHADES OF CHROME OF COURSE !!!
