Windows 7 ahead of Harry in popularity

Thursday, October 22, 2009

The new operating system Windows 7, sales of which start around the world, has already established a record in the UK. According to the British branch of Amazon, a new software platform from Microsoft, became a bestseller of all time by the number of pre-orders, ahead of even the blockbuster book about young wizard Harry Potter.

Pre-orders for Windows 7 in the UK began to be adopted on 15 July, and on the same day the stock was sold out. It is reported that the British branch of Amazon for the first 8 o'clock sold more copies of Windows 7, than Windows Vista for the entire period of pre-order. The only product that has since been able to displace Windows 7 with the top ranking, has become a novel by Dan Brown.

The reason for the frenzied popularity of Windows 7 has its lowest price in the preliminary order. For example, in the period from 15 July to 14 August the cost of one copy of Windows 7 Home Premium amounted to just 49.99 pounds.
