Compact 2-disk drive Raidsonic ICY BOX IB-2221StU-B

Company RaidSonic Technology today announced the availability of external 2-disk data storage ICY BOX IB-2221StU-B with a USB 2.0 interface and support of technology JBOD. Miniature device casing is made of aluminum alloy with a stylish black finish. It is little more than two dimensions of 2.5-inch SATA hard drives in height 9,5 mm each. This drive ICY BOX IB-2221StU-B supports JBOD (Just a Bunch Of Disks), which in practice means the possibility of using two hard drives that the system recognizes as two independent drives, but it uses a single port is USB. Each of the drives can have up to 500 GB.



The design of the drive applied patented technology screwless mounting drives EasySwap, allowing fast and without using any tools to install or replace drives. Thus, it is possible to use multiple removable HDD with one single body. Storage also is fine when you install a single drive.

The drive supports Plug & Play and thanks to the USB 2.0 interface provides data transfer speeds up to 480 Mbps. Design model ICY BOX IB-2221StU-B provides for archiving of data by pressing a single button - One Touch Backup (only under Windows), as well as indication of the power and performance of each drive. The system is equipped with a compact low-noise fan with a quiet miniature 20x20 mm fan.

Nutrition drive ICY BOX IB-2221StU-B is provided from external 100-240 V/50-60 Hz / 0,3 A power supply with an output voltage of 5V. Dimensions of the device are 95x50x135 mm, weight 350 g (without drives). Scope of delivery includes a data warehouse, arterial Y-shaped USB cable, power supply, software and instruction manual. Deliveries of external 2-disk storage ICY BOX IB-2221StU-B Russia distributors will begin in December.
