Graphics Card GeForce GT 240 - a version with GDDR3 and GDDR5 memory

Friday, November 6, 2009

We have repeatedly advised our readers on the progress of work on a new graphics card NVIDIA GeForce GT 240. It was assumed that this card can be presented in two versions - with GDDR3 memory and a faster GDDR5. However, exact data on this subject were not available.

And now the resource Fudzilla reports that, at least one partner company plans to release a version of the NVIDIA GeForce GT 240 with GDDR5 memory on board. The name of this company for obvious reasons not disclosed, but there is evidence that some partners may first release the GeForce GT 240 with memory GDDR3, and a faster version of the report later.

According to rumors, GeForce GT 240 will be executed in the same interpretation as the adapter GeForce GT 220. This means that the new video card must have the version with non-reference cooling system. It was reported earlier that the release of the graphic card GeForce GT 240 is scheduled for November 17, but some stores can make it in their trade lists as soon as next week.
