Powerful processor AMD Phenom II X4 965 BE C3 can be accelerated to almost 7 GHz

Tuesday, November 10, 2009

We already wrote that AMD company last week submitted an updated version of its flagship processor Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition. Revision C3 received several improvements including a slight decline in the TDP, the appearance of official support for the four memory modules DDR3 (1333 MHz) and hardware support functions C1E, which allows you to quickly switch the power scheme.

And now the Turkish site Donanimhaber posted a video where the demonstrated acceleration of the processor to clock at 6835 MHz. In this case, for cooling system was used with liquid nitrogen. It should be noted that the processor was apparently close to the temperature limit. The cooling system does not allow him to overheat, the video looks really intimidating - the entire plant with a reservoir for liquid nitrogen, which must be periodically replenished. But the result achieved - clock speed of nearly 7 GHz - really impressive.
