Samsung released Power-Efficient External Hard Drive - Standby power

Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. announced the release of 3.5-inch external hard drive STORY Station, whose power consumption in standby mode does not exceed 1W. This fully meets the new EU standard for power consumption in standby mode, which will come into force in January 2010.



Samsung has managed to reduce the power consumption of its new HDD up to 0.09 watts, despite the fact that the usual rate for such devices-2, 5 watts.
