Buffalo presents new solid state drive lineup

At the end of this year, the Japanese company Buffalo has announced its intention to release a new series of solid state memory in the form factor 2.5-inch. New line of SSD was named SHD-NSUH and includes four models with capacities ranging from 32 to 256 GB. Interestingly, the manufacturer promises to provide, at least some models in this line before the New Year.



New SSD Drives Buffalo SHD-NSUH built on NAND memory chips with multilevel cell (MLC) and have the cache of 64 MB. Thus they are equipped with SATA 3.0 Gbps interface, and USB and supports the function of TRIM, a maximum data transfer rate in them is 186.6 MB / sec.

Versions SSD drives Buffalo SHD-NSUH with a capacity of 32, 64, 128 and 256 GB will cost $ 253, $ 369, $ 637 and $ 1,161 respectively. In this model at 64 and 128 GB will be available in Japan this week, SSD with 32 GB debut in late January, a drive of 256 GB will become available sometime in late May 2010.
