Desk calendars from the Notion Ink got the name Adam

Two weeks ago we reported with reference to the resource Slash Gear on a Tablet PC from the company's Notion Ink, which will have a screen produced by Pixel Qi, and is built on a platform of Nvidia Tegra. Now in the Indian press had information revealing the name of the device and pointing to the provisional date for the launch. According to the newspaper The Hindu model will be called Adam, and the emergence of a sale can be expected in mid-2010. Currently tablet manufacturer is in talks with American and Indian operators of 3G-networks in order to test the model. If the start date (June-July 2010) is not too impressive, the expected low price - 15 000 Indian rupees (about 320 dollars) - can provide sufficient interest.

Recall that the tablet from the Notion Ink was the first known devices using the screen of Pixel Qi, characterized the possibility of working as an online e-paper and in color, which allow for longer battery life. The model is based on the Nvidia Tegra T20, supports playback of Full HD 1080p video, a built-Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and UMTS / HSDPA. The screen device has a diagonal of 10.1 inches, and its resolution is 1024 x 600 pixels. The device has a built-in 3G-modem, A-GPS receiver, digital compass, position sensors, removal, lighting and water. Physical ports include USB, HDMI and 3.5-mm audio jack. In addition, going 3-megapixel camera with autofocus and video recording. Built-in memory is 16 or 32 GB, but it can extend through a slot for SD cards.

Demonstration Notion Ink Adam will be held in January at CES 2010.
