Intel's first-gen X18-M, X25-M SSDs to retire 2010

Intel Corporation announced plans to discontinue their first generation SSD drives X18-M and X25-M in the next year. These solid-state drives are made in the form factor of 1.8 and 2.5 inches respectively, and are built on 50 nm NAND memory chips, and their capacity is 80 and 160 GB.



These SSD drives are available for bookings until 20 April and the last installment of these flash drives to be shipped on Aug. 7, 2010. However, those who used to enjoy these high quality and reliable device, do not worry - this summer, Intel introduced them to a worthy replacement in the form of solid-state drives based on 34-nanometer NAND memory.
