Microsoft has released a solution for the errors discovered in the software package of Office 2003. The fact that some users of the office suite that protect documents created with the service management of access rights (Rights Management Service, RMS), found that the system denies them access to requested files.

Last Saturday, Microsoft released the following necessary changes to the software with Office 2003 SP3: Office Client (KB978551), Word Viewer (KB978558) and Excel Viewer (KB978557). The software giant said that to install these software patches are recommended only to users directly confronted with this problem.

According to reports in the network of the error when trying to open a document protected by RMS. At the same time on a computer screen, the following message: "Unexpected error occurred. Please try again later or contact your system administrator" (There was an unexpected error. Please try after some time or contact your system administrator).

Microsoft has confirmed that could be locked documents created with all Office 2003 applications, including Word 2003, Excel 2003, PowerPoint 2003 and Outlook 2003. So if you use RMS to protect these files, be careful. The good news is that users of Office 2007 and beta versions of Office 2010 and earlier versions of office suite does not threaten to face the problem of access to their own documents.
