And we now know that AMD is developing a new graphics card Radeon HD 5670, which would be one of the first entry-level models, equipped with technology to support DirectX 11 and intended for desktop PCs.

The network already appeared "live" photos of a certain video cards based on 40 nm chip Redwood, which allegedly shows exactly Radeon HD 5670. This adapter looks quite compact solution and has 400 stream processors and 1 GB of GDDR5 memory with 128-bit interface, as well as active cooling system with a single fan.

There is support for the regime CrossFireX and video outputs D-Sub, DVI and HDMI. It is assumed that the clock speeds Radeon HD 5670 will amount to 775 and 4000 MHz for the GPU and memory respectively, and for the supply of the video card would be sufficient standard bus PCI-Express. The exact price and date of release of the accelerator is not yet known, but it is expected that it will be announced in the first quarter of 2010 and costs about $ 100.
