Synaptics Debuts FuseTM Next-Generation Mobile Phone Concept

Synaptics Company presented its draft vision for the next phone of the future. For what it is not about the models can appear somewhere in the distant future, but about the very real apparatuses. Concept Synaptics Fuse has a capacitive touch screen, supporting Multi-touch input, pressure sensors and position in space, returns haptic and support the three-dimensional graphics. The result is a phone that has touch screen is not only, but the entire body, including the reverse side and side parts. Device is designed in conjunction with TI, Immersion, TheAlloy and The Astonishing Tribe. Synaptics Fuse is based on TI OMAP 3630 processor and has a 3.7-inch WVGA AMOLED screen.



The model has a triaxial position sensors in space and the system returns haptic, which are integrated with a touch screen device, which significantly increases the accuracy of work. Location of sensors on all surfaces of the phone not only simplifies the work with its interface, but also makes it possible to manage with one hand. Besides such functionality can help avoid the need to touch screen phone with dirty hands.

The company plans to demonstrate the concept Synaptics Synaptics Fuse at CES 2010, Mobile World Congress, to interest the technology of the handset. Therefore we can not exclude that after some time, such devices will become a reality.
