Graphics Card ASUS ROG Ares - new details

Just recently, we reported the details of super-powerful graphics card ASUS ROG Ares, worked out by Taiwan-based ASUSTeK Computer. We already know that this accelerator will be made on the basis of the most productive in today adapter Radeon HD 5970 and received two 40-nm chip Cypress, as well as 4 GB of GDDR5 memory interface 2 x 256 bits.



Now resource SemiAccurate published several shots, which shows a printed circuit board accelerator ASUS ROG Ares and the location of its various elements. As seen in these photos, this circuit board has a greater height as compared to the reference model in the Radeon HD 5970.

This design leaves more space for wiring, but significantly reduces the number of computer cases that can accommodate this' graphic monster. In addition, each of the two GPU in the ASUS ROG Ares is combined with 4-phase power system, and the video card itself is equipped with two 8-pin and one 6-pin power connectors. Add that the clock speeds ASUS ROG Ares equal to 850 and 1200 MHz for both GPU and memory respectively.
