Toshiba has never tired of producing new and new versions of their hard drives. At this time improvements have been HHD-drives made in the 2.5-inch form factor. According to the company, its engineers managed to achieve the highest density and greatest volume among enterprise-class drives, including 3.5-inch. Using technology developed by Fujitsu, Toshiba has given the developers of the opportunity to make a model MBF2600RC density of 595 Mbit per square millimeter (384Gbpsi) and the capacity of 600 GB. Also in this same model was extended and the internal data transfer rate of 13%: from 191.5 MB / sec to 216 MB / sec. As an option, the entire line of drives can be equipped with hardware encryption.

Speed is also the highest among 2.5-inch drives Zhesko and may exceed 10 000 rpm. Wheels are equipped with SAS-interface allowing support data rates up to 6 Gb / sec. Among other things it may be noted 16 MB buffer and reduced power consumption compared with the previous generation, and 3.5-inch drives. Models are available with a capacity of 300, 450 or 600 GB, and their dimensions are 69.85 × 100.45 × 15.00 mm, and weighs less than 220 grams.
