Sharp NetWalker PC-T1 - 5-inch mini-tablet on Ubuntu

The company Sharp has announced the release of the mini-tablet NetWalker PC-T1. This is, in fact, version 5-inch mini-notebook NetWalker PC-Z1, submitted last year, only without the hardware keyboard. Display new items, too, a 5-inch, touch-screen, its resolution is 1024x600 pixels. The solution is based on the processor, Freescale i.MX515 and running the operating system Ubuntu 9.04. In addition to the resistive touchscreen, control NetWalker PC-T1 can be carried out using an optical joystick.



Memory of this tablet is 512 MB, and file storage provides 8 GB of flash memory, you can also use the card format microSD. From wireless capabilities in NetWalker PC-T1 present Wi-Fi 802.11 b / g and Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR, and sweats are USB, miniUSB, and two audio jacks, there is also a speaker. Runtime device is about 6 hours on one battery charge, and its size and weight - 150h90h18-21, 3 mm and 280 grams respectively. Sharp NetWalker PC-T1 will go on sale in Japan in May and will cost 47 000 yen (about $ 512), it will be available in white and black colors.
