Not so long ago we reported the news about the official launch in the IDF, 2010 brand new processors Intel Sandy Bridge, which will also be known as Intel Core 2nd Generation. In selling these chips should be available in early 2011, and among their features can be noted even tighter integration blocks CPU and GPU, located on a single chip.

Since the processors Sandy Bridge will be able to interact only with the sixth generation Intel chipset and new socket LGA 1155, motherboard manufacturers are already preparing solutions for future innovations. Of course, not going to stand aside and such well-known in the IT community organization such as Gigabyte, who presented at the IDF a couple of high quality motherboards based on chipset Intel P67.

New items are named "P67A-UD5 and P67A-UD7, but their official release scheduled for early next year. Both motherboards use the Ultra Durable 3 design, which includes a PCB with a large number of copper and passive cooling system and provides increased reliability when working under load.

In addition, there are four memory slots DDR3, two (for P67A-UD5) and four (P67A-UD7) expansion slot PCIe x16 support SLI mode and CrossFireX, and USB 3.0 connectors and two ports SATA 6.0 Gbps (not counting the more than many connectors SATA 3.0 Gbps). Among other things, there are buttons Power, Reset and Clear CMOS and connectors Gigabit Ethernet (single and double on the P67A-UD5 and P67A-UD7 respectively). Energy located on the motherboard components will be supplied by high-power supply systems with 20 and 24 phases.
