nVIDIA Quadro FX 4800 for Apple Mac

nVIDIA has announced that the card for professional graphics nVIDIA Quadro FX4800 has a version for Apple Mac workstations. The card will see the light in May at a price of about € 1385 ($ 1800) and may be purchased through the network of Apple Mac resellers and partners nVIDIA.

For those who do not know, the family "framework" NVIDIA is sent for fields CAD, 3D modeling, development of medical images, simulation and applications in the fields of science and technology.

The model 4800 integrates Framework 1.5 GB of ram directly related to the GPU with a bandwidth of 76.8 GB per second, almost three times the model nVIDIA GeForce GT 120 so far offered by pple with the MacPro.

Equipped with two DVI connectors Dual-link that can handle two 30-inch screens and a mini DIN connector for stereoscopic glasses. Obviously, the nVIDIA Quadro 4800 supports Bootcamp to make it run on Microsoft Windows.
