A preliminary review of Clarkdale 3,06 GHz processor

Thursday, July 30, 2009

Chinese technological resources IT168 has published a review of performance of new processor with a clock speed of Clarkdale at 3.06 GHz. Recall, dual-core chips based on Intel Clarkdale architecture Nehalem / Westmere, and must appear in the first quarter of 2010. They are a combination of the 32 nm CPU and integrated graphics core, created by the rules of 45 nm technology.

Processors Clarkdale will appear on the market under three brand names (Pentium, Core i3 and Core i5), depending on the functionality and performance. For example, the Intel Turbo Boost function is present only in older chips Core i5, and under the brand name Pentium CPU do not support the technology, Hyper Threading.

In a statement issued on a preliminary review of Clarkdale processor with a frequency of 3.06 GHz chip is compared with the Core 2 Duo, running at a frequency of 3 GHz and related to the generation of Wolfdale. A test system for both CPU includes 4 GB Dual DDR3 1333 memory and graphics card ATI Radeon HD 4870 with 1 GB of memory on board. Both chips were tested at an internal rate of transmission of data, the implementation of intense mathematical calculations, and also passed the tests on synthetic performance of multimedia and 3D-applications. In addition, their abilities were tested in the current 3D-games.

Reported that the processor Clarkdale, with integrated memory controller, shown in the test application SANDRA 2009 faster transmission of data and less time delay than its competitor. However, when testing in the Cinebench R10, measuring performance in a multi-mode chip Clarkdale, supporting 4 computational flow showed no significant increase in performance.

It is also the performance of the processor in Clarkdale test applications Everest 5, CPU Z-lib and FPU Julia (Julia and Sin-Julia). For example, the test CPU Z-lib has shown about 40 percent better performance Clarkdale, as in Sin Junlia it reached ninety-odd per cent. Besides the new Intel dvuhyadernik suddenly gained a lot of points in the test program 3DMark Vantage (test CPU). A popular resource for video games such as Enemy Territory: Quake Wars, Far Cry 2 and Crysis Warhead, Clarkdale processors and Core 2 Duo went, as they say, nostril to nostril.

Among other things, resource HKEPC has published information on the cost of the first processors Clarkdale. The bulk of these chips will be sold at a price of 126 to 196 dollars. The exception of the CPU under the brand name Pentium, standing less than 100 dollars, and a representative of a family of Clarkdale with a frequency of 3.46 GHz, which will be on sale at a price around 280 dollars.

Thank you for any other informative site. The place else could I get that type of information written in such a perfect
means? I've a mission that I am just now working on, and I have been on the glance out for such info.

Here is my site :: see this great post
