Sony has announced the completion of its series "S" Walkman media player nine new models, including three series models NW-S740 (NW-S744 with 8 GB, NW-S745 with 16 GB, NW-S746 with 32 GB) and two in NW-S740K (NW-S744K with 8GB, NW-S745K with 16 GB) NW-S640 (NW-S644 with 8 GB, NW-S645 with 16 GB) and NW-S640K (NW-S644K with 8 GB, NW-S645K 16 GB).
On models where there is a prefix "R", and are supplied with the columns in the form of a docking station, and a series S740, unlike the S640, has at its disposal noise reduction system, which is absent in the younger series of players.
But other features of the models are similar:
- Playing music files, photos, video, FM-radio, podcasts
- Supported audio formats: MP3 / WMA / ATRAC / ATRAC Advanced Lossless / Linear PCM / AAC / HE-AAC
- Supported video formats: MPEG-4, AVC (H.264/AVC), WMV; audio codecs - AAC-LC, WMA

- Display: 2-inch, TFT, 240x320 pixels
- Dimensions: 92h39, 7x7, 5 mm
