Apple introduced the new iMac with 21.5 and 27-inch widescreen display

After many rumors and speculation of Apple, finally, introduced a new line of its computers "all-in-one" iMac. The updated series includes models with 21.5 and 27-inch widescreen display and full aluminum shells. It displays equipped with the new IPS panels with an aspect ratio of 16: 9 and LED backlight, which guarantees the viewing angle of 178 degrees. 21.5-inch iMac has a screen resolution of 1920 x 1080, while a 27-inch model resolution is 2560 x 1440.



The system of ports in the new iMac is the same as in the previous generation, added only a slot for SD cards, and video input for 27-inch computer. In addition, the wireless keyboard has now become standard. The cost of the new iMac line has not undergone major changes, for example, younger 21.5-inch model with a Core 2 Duo 3.06 GHz, graphics NVIDIA GeForce 9400M, 4 GB of RAM and 500 GB hard drive costs $ 1199.

At the same time, the cost of 27-inch configuration starts at $ 1699. In addition, there is a top-end 27-inch iMac, which will begin delivery in November at the price of 1999 dollars. This configuration includes a 4-core chip Core i5 with a frequency of 2.06 GHz and Radeon HD 4850 graphics. We note, incidentally, that the new iMac did not have optical drives Blu-ray, what many fans expected to Apple.
