Gigabyte NVIDIA GeForce GT 220 and G210

Tuesday, October 13, 2009

Taiwan-based Gigabyte, known as a manufacturer of high quality and reliable computer components, introduced their own versions of video cards based on GeForce GT 220 and G210. Like similar products from other manufacturers, Gigabyte graphic cards are based on 40 nm GPU, supporting DirectX 10.1 technology, and cost less than $ 100.

Graphics Card Gigabyte GeForce GT 220 (model number GV-N220OC-1GI) equipped with 48 stream processors and 1 GB of DDR3 memory with 128-bit memory interface. Its clock speeds are 720, 1566 and 800 MHz for the GPU, shader, and memory, respectively. At the same time Adapter Gigabyte GeForce G210 (model number GV-N210OC-512I) has 16 stream processors, 512 MB DDR2 memory with 64-bit interface and the frequencies 650, 1547 and 400 MHz for the video core, shader, and memory, respectively.

Thus, the video card Gigabyte GeForce GT 220 and G210 appear to be sufficiently curious decisions in which the GPU clock speed slightly above the reference, and memory, by contrast, operates at lower frequencies. In addition, Gigabyte GeForce GT 220 is equipped with a much larger heatsink with 80 mm fan than a younger model. Both cards also have low power consumption and port HDMI, but their value is 80 and 45 dollars for Gigabyte GeForce GT 220 and G210, respectively.
