Company Sigma has announced an updated version of its semi-level compact camera Sigma DP1, released in March 2008. New Sigma DP1s called and equipped with the same light-sensitive matrix and image processor TRUE (Three-layer Responsive Ultimate Engine), as its predecessor. Interesting that in its portfolio, and Sigma has a newer model Sigma DP2, but the company decided to issue an update for the DP1 is due to the rather high popularity of the latter.
Compact camera Sigma DP1s has a matrix FOVEON X3 with a resolution of 14 megapixels, improves the quality of the photographs in difficult conditions, for example, when the light source is behind the subject. In addition, the updated model appeared, and some new features, including the possibility of simultaneous shooting in RAW and JPEG.
