Fujitsu expands line of disk storage systems ETERNUS DX

Fujitsu Europe Ltd. today announced new disk storage systems: the midrange series ETERNUS DX400 system and enterprise-class series ETERNUS DX8000. Universal system of series ETERNUS DX400/DX8000 provide scalability and can benefit by combining the data stored in the pools.

Series Fujitsu ETERNUS DX400 is designed for data centers average. Systems of this series are suitable for organizations that need reliable energy-efficient solutions with high performance, capacity, scalability, availability, mobility and data security. Systems enterprise-class series ETERNUS DX8000 satisfy the requirements of large organizations to the high capacity and performance and provide a platform for consolidation of storage systems. The main advantages of these systems include advanced features and high data availability, security and operational efficiency.

Capacity ETERNUS DX400 series systems can be increased up to 428 terabytes, and a series of ETERNUS DX8000 have the highest capacity in the industry - more than 2.7 petabytes. 8-Gigabit Ethernet host interface is Fibre Channel, and quad-core processors provide a significant increase in productivity. Systems Series DX400 and DX8000 are the additional features, such as the technology of Data Block Guard, which increases the effectiveness of data protection in RAID with support of the integrity of data on devices in the system cache.
