Three new disk storage Dot Hill

Wednesday, November 4, 2009

Company DSCon introduced three new disk storage system Series Dot Hill R / Evolution of host interfaces, Fibre Channel, SAS, and iSCSI. The new disk storage systems that are based on architecture of R / Evolution, can hold 12 drives SAS, SATA or SSD in body form factor of 2U and provide two or four (in dvuhkontrollernom performance) compounds 4Gbps Fibre Channel (Model 2732), 3Gb SAS ( model 2532) and 1Gb iSCSI (model 2332). All models can be supplied with both power supplies of AC and DC.

Data Storage Dot Hill 2732, 2532 and 2332 are a further development of the product series. From previous series models 2hh0 using 3.5 inch drives, new products are new productive controller and support for expansion of up to 96 drives SAS, SATA or SSD.

Architecture R / Evolution Company Dot Hill, makes it possible to later switch to the use of disk arrays in 2732, 2532 and 2332 compounds 8Gb Fibre Channel, 6Gb SAS and 10Gb Ethernet by replacing the controller, while maintaining at the same time, the available data integrity. The new storage systems technology is used SimulCache, which provides simultaneous mirroring of cache between RAID controllers, significantly increasing productivity. And, thanks to technology EcoStor backup cache controllers can be stored almost indefinitely without the use of batteries. Firmware AssuredCopy provides full-volume copy, and optional software AssuredSnap provides the ability to perform the snapshot (snapshot) for temporary markers.
