SilverRiver II - a new series of external HDD / SSD blocks from Thermaltake

Company Thermaltake, known for its high quality computer components, today announced preparations for the release of a new family of external enclosures for HDD / SSD drives. The new line is called SilverRiver II and includes a stylish case made from aluminum and made in the form factors of 3,5 and 2,5 inch.

It is reported that 3.5-inch model called the ST0016 and the ST0017 have dimensions of 195 x 125 x 70 mm, whereas the 2.5-inch body ST0018 has the dimensions 136 x 79 x 17 mm. All the exterior body support drives bus SATA 1.5 Gbps/3.0 Gbps, but the set of interfaces they differ.

If the model ST0016 is equipped with eSATA ports and USB 2.0, a modification ST0017 and ST0018 supports only interface is USB 2.0. In the sale of new external HDD / SSD case SilverRiver II ST0016, ST0017 and ST0018 from Thermaltake should appear in the next few weeks, at 40, 30 and 20 dollars respectively.
