Solid State Drive Crucial RealSSDs C300 with support for SATA 6.0 Gbps went on sale

Sunday, February 28, 2010

Lexar Media Company began shipping new solid-state drives Crucial RealSSD C300. Their producer is well-known semiconductor company Micron Technology (Lexar and Crucial - is its subsidiaries). Announcement of these decisions took place in early December last year, and sales had been promised to start on February 22. And then finally release took place, albeit with a slight delay. These drives are interesting because they support high-speed next-generation SATA 6.0 Gbps. Crucial RealSSDs C300 can reach peak speeds of 355 Mb / s when reading files and 215 Mb / s - with their record.

New solid-state drives Crucial RealSSDs C300 performed in 2.5-inch form factor with the use of memory chip MLC NAND Flash, and are offered in two versions of different size. Junior model with capacity 128 GB is $ 500, and the oldest - a capacity of 256 GB - $ 800. It is worth noting that the price of new products, as expected, quite high and far from the budget.
