First update line of processors Intel Atom Pine Trial occurred. The new processor Intel Atom N470 provides the platform clock speed of 1.83 GHz, but its power consumption (5.5 W) remains at a level sufficient to ensure long battery life. To ensure better performance chipset has the second-level cache of 512 KB of RAM and supports DDR2.

It is expected that the new processor in the coming months will be installed in netbooks, which will provide user the ability not only to long battery life, but also of great opportunities through a faster processor. The main candidates to use the chipset companies are Acer, ASUS, traditionally producing devices based on processors Intel, as well as Sony, which may determine faster processors in the Atom netbooks Sony Vaio series F and H.
