Microsoft Windows MultiPoint Server 2010 - an independent work of several users on one computer

Microsoft has announced the start of sales in Russia of a new server operating system Microsoft MultiPoint Server 2010. The product family of Windows will organize several independent jobs on the basis of a personal computer. For special offers on hardware for MultiPoint Server has entered the market the company Hewlett-Packard.

Individual accounts allow each user to have its own list of favorites in Windows Internet Explorer, set at its discretion, the desktop appearance, that it should contain its own icons, customize the Start menu, and so on. These settings can be saved so that next time to continue working with them, sitting down for any other workplace, with access to the host computer.

As explained by Alexey Voronkov, director of personal systems, HP in Russia, Microsoft MultiPoint Server 2010 allows users to organize the command group or individual work with only one physical computer serving as a hub for the distribution of work, just plug into a standard USB interface related peripherals: monitor, headphones, keyboard, mouse, and the server will provide a common operating environment for the use of usual office, internet and other applications. However, users do not lose the ability to customize for themselves all the interface elements, stored in individual folders editable documents, run a wide range of Windows-based applications and the like.

It is expected that the new solution will be in demand particularly in educational institutions, libraries, museums and organizations of small businesses. Partners Microsoft and third-party developers will be able to create their own products under the Microsoft MultiPoint Server 2010, using a familiar platform of Microsoft Windows Server 2008R2. Since MultiPoint Server 2010 is based on the latest developments of Windows, all the necessary support can be obtained directly from Microsoft (including updates through the Internet) or authorized partners.
