It seems that the desire of some manufacturers to equip their own versions of graphics cards increased memory becomes a kind of tradition. We have already talked about the powerful graphics card ASUS ROG MATRIX 5870 with 2 GB of "onboard" memory GDDR5, recently set a record for overclocking in 1525 MHz for the core. And we now know that a similar model based on the Radeon HD 5870 appeared in the arsenal of another Taiwanese company Sapphire Technology.

Two new accelerator Sapphire joined the firm series Vapor-X and Toxic and carry on board to 2 GB of GDDR5 memory with 256-bit interface. In addition, both versions of Radeon HD 5870 equipped with nereferensnoy cooling Vapor-X, uses the principle of evaporation chamber, which allows to achieve greater efficiency in comparison with the standard cooler.

Video Cards Sapphire Radeon HD 5870 Vapor-X and Toxic with 2 GB of memory have 1600 stream processors and ports of Dual-DVI, HDMI and DisplayPort, as well as support for DirectX 11 technology, ATI Eyefinity mode and CrossFireX. They differ from each other in the main clock speeds. If the version Vapor-X GPU and memory equals 850/4800 MHz, then the model Toxic similar rates of 925/4900 MHz. Deliveries of these interesting adapters have not yet begun, but both models are already available for pre-order at the price of 425 euros (Vapor-X) and 449 euros (Toxic).
