Monday, August 9, 2010

At the CommunicAsia exhibition company Samsung Electronics introduced an interesting solution called Samsung SMT-i9000. The company itself describes it as "converged multimedia phone" (Convergence Multimedia Phone), but the model looks more like a tablet or a digital photo frame. It is equipped with 7-inch touch screen and can be placed on a stand. Probably, Samsung SMT-i9000 is designed for home use and can be used, for example, as a video phone or Internet access.

Samsung SMT-i9000 supports the wireless Wi-Fi with DLNA, Bluetooth, slot for an SD card and USB port and media player. That is, the device can be used for viewing audio, video and images. In addition, it supports streaming video from YouTube and Flickr and RSS feeds. Model also has a speakerphone function. It is not known when the device goes on sale and how much it will cost, but now you can see the video of his demonstration at the exhibition.
