Alpha 680 Android netbook - is getting closer to release

Tuesday, October 6, 2009

French portal Le Journal du Geek has published photos of Chinese netbook Alpha 680, the manufacturer of which the company Skytone. This netbook is already known on the news, and as it was written earlier, is one of the first netbook, which is running the operating system Android. It was expected that the Alpha 680 will be available this summer at a fairly reasonable price, but this did not happen. It is now known that the netbook is an OEM product and its seller will eventually become a French company Airis.

Netbook is equipped with a 7-inch resistive touch screen turning, as a result he can transform into a tablet mode. There are also 2 USB ports and a slot for memory cards format SD. As the source, there is no information about the processor on which the transformer will work, most likely, it will be 533 MHz processor ARM11, initially the company planned that way.

Journalists also reported that the device is still in beta testing and has not worked steadily, but Android raises no objections.
