Thursday, January 14, 2010

Remember the famous statement of the American writer Mark Twain that "rumors of my death have been greatly exaggerated"? It seems that these same words could justifiably repeat and the browser Internet Explorer, created by Microsoft. A confirmation of these words are the results of a study conducted by Devil Mountain Software.

According to these results, more than eighty percent of users of corporate computer runs Internet Explorer browser during the working day. In addition, Microsoft's development is usually used most of the day. Note that the data from this study were derived from the tracking of 22 000 computers included in the proprietary system Exo.performance.network (XPnet).

However, apart from Internet Explorer, on the office computers are very often used, and alternative browsers, and, this approach uses a variety of business users. For example, almost half of the computers tracked Devil Mountain Software, start the browser Mozilla Firefox, and about twenty percent of office workers regularly use Google Chrome.

Thus, we can say that Internet Explorer, despite the overall growth in the popularity of competitors, continues to maintain strong leadership in the corporate world. One explanation for this is the fact that "melkomyagky 'browser for many years has become the standard in office work, which are tied, many software packages and applications used by employees.
