Thursday, January 28, 2010

Apple has simultaneously with the announcement of its Tablet PC provided an updated package for developing applications iPhone SDK 3.2. While the new SDK is in beta version, but it still allows developers to create applications that are optimized for Apple iPad. And, while it is only for the iPad, support for iPhone and iPod touch is not provided. Tablet PC display larger than the iPhone and iPod touch, its diagonal is 9.7 inches. Accordingly, the application must take into account that size screen. New iPhone SDK 3.2, in particular, includes support for a greater number of fonts and their sizes. In addition, the package provides the opportunity to work with the video output to an external display through the dock connector.

Interestingly, the new SDK includes support for cameras, although it's not iPad. Perhaps, it is expected to connect an external camera, creating planshetnikov new generation with built-in camera (in perspective), or simply the fact that in the future, this package will support the communicator and the iPhone. Another possibility, which Apple previously limited, is to support Internet telephony VoIP networks to 3G. The first and so far the only application with the possibility of such calls is iCall, previously it supported only connection Wi-Fi.

Currently simulator in iPhone OS 3.2 SDK includes only two applications - settings (Settings) and Contact (Contacts). Also, to assist developers in the new beta SDK, there are examples of codes and all the necessary tools and documentation in order to begin creating programs. The package may already be downloaded from the Apple site participants iPhone Developer Program.
