AMD began shipping processors Phenom II X4 945 and 955 BE stepping C3

Tuesday, December 1, 2009

AMD has begun shipping processors Phenom II X4 945 and 955 BE with new stepping C3. New version of stepping on the idea should lead to some reduction in the working voltage and power consumption data CPU. However, their TDP remained unchanged.

Chips AMD Phenom II X4 945 and Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition with a new stepping has the same performance TDP, as their predecessors - 95 and 125 watts respectively. At the same time should take into account that AMD has lowered the TDP in previous audits of some processors Phenom II.

No change in prices for new AMD processors are not expected, and models of Phenom II X4 945 and Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition should cost as much as their version of stepping C2, that is about 120 and 130 euros respectively. Interestingly, stepping C3 must be the last revision of AMD chips, before their production goes to 32-nm technology. This transition should take place in 2011.
