Microsoft is preparing a Tablet PC with touch screen

Wednesday, September 23, 2009

Resource Gizmodo has published information about Microsoft's plans to create a Tablet PC with touch screen. Such a device, according to the source, not just exist, but there is a hard-working "late prototype". The model was named Courier and will be implemented in the form factor "booklet". This form factor implies that the device will receive two touch screen and will unfold like a book.

The exact details have not much. It is expected that the screens of the device will have a diagonal of about 7 inches and will support the management of both hands, and stylus. The physical button on the device, only one (probably responsible for the inclusion) and it has no slots, so it is likely that battery charging will be done through an inductive charge device (on the similarity of Palm Touchstone for a communicator Pre). Also on fotgrafiyah device is visible 3-megapixel camera with digital zoom and four-in flash, located on the rear panel.

At the moment, "planshetnik" is being tested by users and demonstrates some of the outside companies that may be interested in issuing such a model. On the timing of the market and the likely cost of the device can only guess.
